About Phil

I grew up here, graduated from Loyola High School, received a business degree from Boston University and then served two combat tours in Iraq as an officer in the U.S. Army, where I was awarded the Bronze Star.  In Iraq, I policed some the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world. I worked to assist the local government in providing basic municipal services like water, trash and medical services.

Following my military service, I returned to attend Loyola Law School and have been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine as a “Southern California Rising Star.”

I worked for three years for the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the Massachusetts State Senate (Mark Montigny - D), which was the committee overseeing "all matters relating to the finances of the Commonwealth."

Phil and his wife, Vivian, along with their two preschool-age daughters, are delighted residents of the Madison Heights neighborhood in Pasadena’s District 7.
